Especially designed for high vacuum service with built-in against
damage from excessive temperature and pressure.
Roughing Pump (Backer Pump)
The Rotary piston vapor purge is used to reduce the system to the
mechanical booster operating pressure. Ample capacity is an extra
safeguard in the higher pressure range. Condensable gases are handled
within the backer pump by means of its vapor purge lubricating system.
The low operating speed of the RP pump permits the lubricating
oil seal the pump much more efficiently than pumps operating at
higher speeds... Results extended, trouble free service life.
